Moringa-AgNP Biosensor-Integrated Biochar Tile

GreenFilter Uganda is a zero-waste Moringa biorefinery that produces affordable ceramic water filters and organic biofertilizer. Using fermented Moringa leaf extract, we green-synthesize silver nanoparticles anchored via APTES onto locally made clay flower-pot filters. This delivers 99%+ bacterial removal and heavy metal reduction while keeping silver below WHO limits. The spent biomass is fermented into a nutrient-rich biofertilizer that boosts crop yields by 25–35%. What makes us unique is the combination of fermentation enhancement, durable covalent anchoring for longevity, and complete circular design using abundant local resources. This creates an accessible, low-cost solution for safe water and sustainable agriculture.
