About Global GreenChem
Dedicated to connecting the global green chemistry community through education, innovation, and collaborative partnerships

Our Mission
Global GreenChem originated from a UNIDO-GEF pilot initiative for clean technologies support launched at the 2011 UN Climate Change Conference in South Africa. What began as a pioneering cleantech innovation competition has evolved into a comprehensive global program.
Based on the learnings of our pilot program and increasing demand for green chemistry solutions, in 2014, UNIDO and GEF developed the Global GreenChem Innovation & Network Program to further support sustainable chemistry innovations in emerging markets.
Today, we stand as a leading global initiative connecting scientists, entrepreneurs, and governments to accelerate the adoption of green chemistry principles worldwide.
