Our product is eco-bricks with a regional identity, made from paper, glass, construction rubble and sillar (Arequipa’s white volcanic stone) waste, with nopal cactus mucilage as a natural binder. This technology addresses the low recycling rate and poor waste management in Arequipa, turning materials considered waste into valuable inputs for sustainable construction. The innovation lies in partially replacing cement, reducing emissions and preventing mudslides (huaicos) from carrying waste into cities. Unlike conventional alternatives, our solution combines the circular economy, lower environmental impact and cultural relevance.
